Two people were injured in what appeared to be two shootings in Madison, possibly by the same gunman.
According to officials, they responded to a shots fired call just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Metro Nashville Police officers were dispatched to the first scene where they found a woman in a car with a man who had been shot.
Another shooting was called in from a different street where a second victim was injured.
The two crime scenes were located on Pierce Road and Sylvia Drive.
Police said they were speaking with multiple witnesses. Specific details of the incidents were not yet known; however, officials said it's believed the same gunman was involved in both shootings.
Reports stated one of the victims was in critical condition. The other victim's condition was not known, but he was not believed to be badly injured.
Authorities had not released any identities. The investigation remained ongoing.
