The Tennessee State Capitol was evacuated due to a small fire in one of the building's new access tunnels.
Tennessee Department of Safety officials said the fire broke out Monday evening in the new Cordell Hull tunnel.
The fire was contained, and no injuries were reported.
First responders evacuated the building out of precaution, but since it was late in the work day, many of the employees had already left or were leaving at the time.
The Metro Nashville Fire Department responded to the capitol and was investigating the cause.
