At least eight people were displaced following an early morning fire at a Bellevue apartment complex.
Firefighters responded to the scene on Crestmeade Drive around 1 a.m. Monday and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building.
All nearby residents were evacuated while crews responded, but most were allowed back into their homes after the fire was under control.
Eight people are displaced. No one was hurt.
"It definitely smells like smoke. It honestly smells like our apartment was on fire. It's just very strong, through the whole complex it's been very strong. We walked in and we were coughing immediately," said resident Jessica Funke.
Crews said the fire may have been electrical.
