Westbound I-24 reopens after semi fire near Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Westbound lanes of Interstate 24 have reopened after a tractor trailer caught fire near the I-40 split in Nashville.

NewsChannel 5 saw flames shooting out of the cargo area of the semi truck at about 6 a.m. Tuesday. The truck was pulled to the shoulder, but fire crews shut down all lanes.

Metro dispatchers confirmed the truck was likely carrying cleaning products.
