A teen was killed and three others were arrested after an investigation into a stolen vehicle led to a fatal shooting in Antioch.

The teen killed has been identified as 17-year-old Terrance Goins.

Multiple police units and ambulances responded to the shooting scene at South Beachfront Avenue and Oceanfront Circle around 2:30 p.m.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said they were tracking a stolen vehicle when the incident occurred.

Officers tracked the vehicle to South Beachfront Avenue and Oceanfront Circle, but instead of stopping for officers, the vehicle collided with a police cruiser, pinning the officer in his car.

At that point, police believed the four suspects in the car bailed. According to officers, bullet holes found in the top of the stolen Oldsmobile show one of the suspects fired shots at the cruiser before running into the woods.

Once canine units got on scene, the dog followed the suspects into the woods. When the canine, Turbo, entered the wood line, officers said they heard one gun shot.

Turbo first apprehended 18-year-old Kendrick Murphy. He has been charged as an adult with vehicle theft, evading arrest, and unlawful gun possession.

Officers then found Goins lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He died from his injuries, and authorities said ballistic testing would be conducted to determine whether he shot himself or if he was shot by one of the other suspects. He was found with a semi-automatic pistol.

The third suspect, a 16-year-old, was found in the woods by Turbo less than a mile away on Marhaden Drive, and the fourth, a 15-year-old, was found in a shed. Both were taken to juvenile detention. They've been charged with vehicle theft and evading arrest.

Two guns, including the one found with Goins, were recovered at the scene.

Reports confirmed officers did not fire shots during this incident.
