14-Year-Old Injured In Nashville Shooting

Metro Nashville Police officers have responded to a possible shootout in Nashville in which a 14-year-old was injured.

The shooting was reported just before 8 p.m. at 4000 Alameda Street near the Nations and Sylvan Park.

Officials said the incident began on 39th Avenue behind a Dollar Tree store.

A North Precinct officer noticed a man walking around with a rifle over his head randomly shooting. Then noticed a group of people gathering.

The 14-year-old was shot in the leg. The teen was taken to the hospital their condition was unknown.

Witnesses in the area told police they heard multiple gunshots from different directions.
