No injuries were reported following a crash and car fire in the grass beside Interstate 24.
The incident happened in the westbound lanes near Haywood Lane around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Officials said the driver was able to get out of the car. Video of the scene showed the vehicle fully engulfed in flames, and a small explosion was also involved during the fire. The grass near the car also burned.
While crews worked at the scene, westbound traffic was reduced to one lane. Eastbound drivers experienced some rubbernecking delays.
The roadway was expected to be cleared by 6:30 p.m.
