Attorneys for NewsChannel 5 have asked a judge to dismiss a $200 million libel lawsuit filed by Nashville District Attorney General Glenn Funk.
That lawsuit stems from reports by NewsChannel 5 Investigates about allegations that had been made in a civil lawsuit filed by Nashville developer David Chase.
NewsChannel 5's motion argues that those stories were "constitutionally protected speech" and "a fair and accurate report of the allegations made in another lawsuit."
