The man behind Nashville Bike Week appeared in a Kentucky courtroom Wednesday morning, just two days after his arrest in Bowling Green.
Mike Leffingwell, also known as Mike Axle, was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Tennessee, Georgia and Missouri. In court, he agreed to be sent back to those states to face charges of failure to appear, larceny and theft.
First, he was expected to deal with new charges out of Morgan County, Kentucky for theft over $10,000.
Leffingwell has been the public face of Nashville Bike Week, a motorcycle and music festival that is supposed to be held in September. It still however doesn't have a location. The 10-day festival was originally supposed to be held at Loretta Lynn's ranch in Humphreys County, but that fell through after Bike Week failed to make deposits.
The state then denied Bike Week's permit application for a second location because it wasn't complete. And days after Bike Week announced the event would be held at Opryland, Gaylord officials called it off.
