A 26-year-old man was sent to the hospital after being shot multiple times in the back at a Davidson County storage facility.
The incident happened at the CubeSmart Self Storage on Murfreesboro Pike in Antioch early Tuesday morning.
The man told officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department he had the storage unit door opened when four gunmen came around the door and opened fire.
Officials said the victim was able to drive himself to the nearby Shell gas station at the corner of Murfreesboro Pike and Hobson Pike and call 911.
The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.
Investigators spent several hours processing the scene and looking for clues into what happened. They said the suspects did not appear to have taken anything from the storage unit.
It was not clear if the victim recognized any of his attackers.
There was surveillance video of the shooting, but it did not capture the faces of the suspects.
