A 69-year-old woman was found dead inside a car behind a mechanic shop in Madison.
The body of Alyce Sanders was discovered around 4:30 a.m. Monday outside the business located on Brawner Avenue and Hickory Street, just a block from Gallatin Pike.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said they were not suspecting foul play in the case.
A friend of the victim had been searching for her and went to the mechanic shop to see if she was there. The woman was found dead inside the car.
Investigators said the woman was sleeping in the back seat of a car Sunday night, with a friend also sleeping in the front seat.
He told police became worried when he couldn't hear her breathing anymore. He shook her, and found that she was dead. That's when he went to a nearby business where he called for help.
