Authorities in Maury County said two people were safe after their vehicle was swept away in flood waters.
The incident happened Saturday around 9:40 p.m. on Gillespie Lane.
Reports stated a vehicle was swept several hundreds yards downstream.
Officials said local residents who knew the area used trails to find the location of the vehicle.
According to reports, the driver's daughter had already made it to land before the fire department arrived. The driver was rescued safely from the vehicle.
Another vehicle was found in a creek just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday on Mount Joy Road.
Officials said the vehicle had rolled into the creek; however, no one was found inside. There were no witnesses to the incident, which remained under investigation.
