A tractor trailer fire and brush fire shut down a portion of Interstate 40 in Dickson County.
Officials said the incident began before 9 p.m. Saturday in the westbound lanes at mile marker 173, one mile before the exit for Tennessee 46.
Those with the Dickson Emergency Communications said the interstate was shut down in that area to westbound traffic for nearly an hour. Shortly before 10 p.m. they said one lane had reopened. Eastbound drivers were not affected.
Details of the fire were unknown.
Crews estimated the roadway would be cleared by 11 p.m.
