Fourteen days, more than a thousand tips, but there have been no sightings of 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas or Tad Cummins.
The two vanished two weeks ago Monday. With around $4,500, District Attorney Brent Cooper said it's only a matter of time before Cummins will be forced to make a withdrawal or commit a crime to get money.
"He's either going to have to go to work or commit a crime," Cooper said.
However, there's another theory investigators have been considering. Investigators said Cummins has been extremely well versed with the Bible, and he may attempt to get into Mexico and act as a missionary in a rural church.
Investigators have been wanting to encourage folks to report possible sightings as soon as they happen, not hours or sometimes days later.
As the hours turn to days and days into weeks, Cooper said the window of finding Thomas and prosecuting Cummins becomes more narrow.
