Strong Storms Could Impact July 4th Fireworks

Strong storms could impact Fourth of July festivities across Middle Tennessee as a cold front pushes into the area.

Hot temperatures, humidity and scattered thunderstorms would be prevalent throughout the day.

Early Monday morning, temperatures were already in the high 70s with considerable humidity.

The first line of storms was expected to move through around lunchtime.

Another round - with the greatest chance to see severe weather - would push through later in the afternoon, possibly between 2 p.m. and midnight.

Some storms will run the risk of being strong to severe and could impact some firework shows.

A Flash Flood Watch has also been issued for many counties along the Kentucky state line.

Anyone heading out to festivities can stay up to date with the latest weather conditions both online and by downloading the Storm Shield app.
