A mother with two small children has been accused of plotting a violent ambush and carjacking in Nashville.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, Samantha Hardy called the male victim and said her car stalled on Pennock Avenue.
The two were allegedly friends.
As he started to move the children's car seats into his vehicle, two men reportedly appeared and started beating him with a metal rod.
The suspects allegedly stole his wallet, cellphone, and car keys before driving off in his vehicle.
The victim was able to lead police to Hardy. She was taken into custody on aggravated robbery charges.
Her alleged accomplices have yet to be identified.
The two children were placed into the custody of the Department of Children’s Services.
