At least one person was killed in a crash that shut down Interstate 24 in Rutherford County for hours.
Officials said the wreck happened before 7 p.m. Sunday in the eastbound lanes near Exit 80 for New Salem Road.
Details of the wreck were not known. However, officials confirmed at least one person was killed. Monday, authorities identified the victim as Miriam Elizabeth Horist, of Murfreesboro.
The roadway reopened by midnight.
Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol were investigating.
