A fire destroyed a building that used to be a group home but had since been turned into a business.
Officials said the fire happened at Premiere Home Healthcare in the 800 block of East Meade Avenue in Madison just before 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
Firefighters confirmed no one was inside at the time, so no injuries were reported.
Authorities said the business was used to help the elderly, sending employees out to check on those in need.
The home suffered a lot of smoke and water damage and appeared to be a total loss.
According to investigators, the fire allegedly began at the back of the home, but the cause was still unknown.
The investigation was ongoing. No further details were available.
