Crews have found the body of a victim they said drowned in Smith County.
Reports stated officials had been searching Cordell Hull Lake after a man was swimming with friends and reportedly drowned.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. Monday. Authorities said they had been searching through water that was around ten feet deep.
Emergency crews from Putnam County, Jackson County, Smith County, and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency aided in the search.
Monday night, officials confirmed the man's body had been found. Additional details, including his identity, had not yet been released.
