A body has been found in a creek, according to authorities.
The incident happened Saturday afternoon on Sunnymeade Drive. The body was found in Cooper Creek around 2:10 p.m. by neighbors, according to police.
Authorities confirmed the body was female, but her identity was unknown. They said she was found partially decomposed.
Police said they did not find any identification on her, and efforts to identify her through her fingerprints were unsuccessful.
Police and crime scene tape could be seen in that area, and crews were taking photos around a home in the 1300 block.
"It's awful weird," said Rachel Roberson, a jogger who lives in the area. "Yes, I do think it's weird. I think it's rare. Most people feel very safe here."
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday to determine the exact cause of death.
Anyone with information on her identity or how she died has been urged to contact East Precinct Investigations at 615-862-7525 or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
