Two men have been indicted in the fatal shooting of a man at an apartment complex in Bellevue.

Authorities identified the men as 34-year-old Joseph Ware and 29-year-old Jamal Bekhtyar. They’ve been indicted in relation to the death of 29-year-old Billy Ray Plunk.

Officials said Bekhtyar was already in jail in Nashville on beer theft charges. He was being held in lieu of a $750,000 bond.

Ware remained wanted and at large. He’s being considered armed and dangerous.

Plunk was killed on July 23 after a robbery attempt at his apartment complex, the Iroquois Apartments on Old Hickory Boulevard in Bellevue.

Anyone with information on Ware’s whereabouts has been urged to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
