One person has been killed in a fire at an apartment complex in Lewisburg.
The fire happened at the Lewisburg Summit Apartments on Franklin Avenue around 9 p.m. Saturday.
Authorities confirmed one person was killed in the fire. The victim’s identity had not been released.

The building was evacuated for safety reasons as crews worked at the scene.
Many residents were taken by bus to the recreation center or hotels. Some were later allowed back inside the building.
The apartment involved suffered smoke damage, and officials confirmed smoke filled most of the building.
The State Fire Marshall has been investigating the cause of the fire.
