Posted

A Judge said he needed more information before making a decision about a petition from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the District Attorney, requesting the Jocques Clemmons case be made public.

The D.A. and TBI filed the filed the petition on Monday in hopes of the case file being released.

Yet on Tuesday, Chancellor Ellen Hobbs Lyle made an order to extend the time frame, among other things. Read the full order here.

The agencies were given until May 15 to file an updated petition.

Meanwhile, lawyers for Officer Joseph Lippert, the man who shot and killed Clemmons, said he is anxious to have those investigation findings released to the public.
