NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A portion of Old Hickory Boulevard in Whites Creek has reopened following a house fire investigation.
The call came in overnight Tuesday between Lickton Pike and Interstate 24.
One man was home at time of the fire, saw haze and went to investigate. He saw a large fire in one of the back, unused bathrooms. He got out and called 911.
The nearest fire hydrant is located about 1/8 mile away so they had to relay the water from engines to get home. Rain also lessened visibility, which made conditions more difficult for firefighters.
The home is a complete loss.
