A Delta flight operated by SkyWest made an unscheduled landing at Nashville-International Airport Monday morning due to a possible medical emergency.
Officials said Delta Flight 4646 issued a request for medical assistance around 6:40 a.m. There was apparently an unconscious patient on board.
The flight had recently taken off from Nashville - bound for Detroit - and returned to the gate shortly after takeoff.
Emergency medical technicians were on hand at the gate to meet the plane and offer help.
Details about the person’s exact condition were not available.
After a short time, the flight continued on it's way to Detroit.
