Ashland City and Pleasant View Firefighters responded to a large house fire in Cheatham County.
The fire broke out at a home around 3:20 p.m. at 1080 Sandy Run Rd. near Old Hydes Ferry Pike in Ashland City.
Authorities said the home had been vacant since the flood of 2010.
The home is behind the former Bill's Catfish Restaurant and across from the Walmart Supercenter on Highway 12 South.
The flames engulfed the home, leaving a skeleton of walls. Officials said most of the structure was lost. Flames have also spread to a nearby field.
