Interstate 65 was shut down for multiple hours due to a crash.
The wreck happened on I-65 North near Armory Drive in Berry Hill at Interstate 440 just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to Metro Police, the driver hit the inside of a retaining wall, then skidded across traffic, flipped and went over the I-40 overpass.
At this point, investigators aren't sure why the driver lost control of the vehicle.
The name of the person who died has not been released.
