A deputy for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has been injured in a head-on crash in Clarksville. The driver of the other vehicle was critically hurt.
The crash was reported Tuesday night along Ashland City Road, not far from Avondale Drive.

Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the deputy was on his way home after serving warrants.
A vehicle being driven by a woman reportedly veered into his lane and struck his vehicle. She was ejected from the car.
The woman was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries. The deputy suffered a broken leg and ankle.
Investigators remained on the scene from about 9 p.m. until 4 a.m. The road has since reopened.
