Dozens of people gathered to remember officer-involved shooting victim, Jocques Clemmons, at a candlelight vigil in East Nashville.
They also demanded for justice, saying the current investigation has not been fair and balanced.
Clemmons was shot and killed by Metro Nashville Police Officer Josh Lippert last week when Police said he would not drop his gun during an altercation following a traffic stop.
Clemmons' mother urged everyone fighting for justice in the case to keep the peace.
"Nashville's gotta be the city that sets the example, you're better than that! We want our justice, but we're not gonna tear this city down! If you wanna honor my son, do not tear this city down," She said.
The investigation continued into what exactly happened last Friday.
District Attorney Glenn Funk announced that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation would be taking over the Metro Nashville Police Department's investigation into the shooting.
