Businesses in Murfreesboro are getting ready for this weekend's planned White Lives Matter protest.
Many in the public square are closing up shop, even boarding up their windows, worried about potential violence.
But others say they're passing on the plywood so they don't close themselves off from the community.
"We feel like part of the community's history is sending this message of love to the whole world," said Gloria Christy with Shacklett's Photography. "I hope more people watch what's happening here and are lifted up all over this country."
More businesses in the public square are likely to choose to board up their windows Friday as the rally approaches.
