The 13th annual Bridging the Gap Mixer began Friday on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
The mixer was the official kick-off to Saturday's Jefferson Street Jazz and Blues Festival bringing together communities from all over Nashville.
The festival has grown every year, and this year planned to feature bands like Latimore, Lakeside, Midnight Star and many others.
