Police have released the identity of the man whose body was found at Old Hickory Lake.

The body was located just before 1 p.m. Sunday near Cumberland Drive.

Officials said 32-year-old Lester Powell Lamberth Jr., of Mt. Juliet, was operating a boat when he struck a retainer wall on the shoreline of Old Hickory Lake.

They said he made his way to a home on Cumberland Drive and entered through a plate glass window. Investigators said because nothing was taken from the home, it appears there was no intent to commit a burglary.

His body was later recovered from Old Hickory Lake.

The cause and manner of death were unclear, pending autopsy results. The crash was being investigated by TWRA.

No additional details were provided.
