NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Crews responded to Four Corners Marina after a body was found in the water.
Metro police said the body was of 42-year-old Tremayne Scales, who witnesses say jumped into the lake 10 days ago to save an 11-year-old swimmer.
Scales was seen helping the child onto a boat south of the Hobson Pike Bridge before he went under water and did not resurface.
A boater on Percy Priest Lake found his body on Tuesday afternoon.
The Nashville Fire Department said their special operations division was called to help recover his body. The Office of Emergency Management also responded to the scene.
