A second suspect has been charged in a double murder at a south Nashville apartment complex.

Metro Nashville Police said 20-year-old Luis Miguel Colindres-Varela was arrested Monday night in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Officers said Colindres-Varela is charged with two counts of criminal homicide and is believed to be a gunman in the murders of 18-year-old Yeri Gabino and 34-year-old Hector Pagada.

The two were shot to death as they sat inside a black Lincoln MKS in the parking lot of Maple Crest Apartments on September 24.

Detectives said they believe Colindres-Varela was riding in a white Chevrolet Traverse that pulled up to the Lincoln. The gunmen got out of the Traverse and opened fire on the victims, then fled the scene.

The suspected driver of the Traverse, 23-year-old Oscar Delgado-Flores, was arrested on September 28 and was charged with murder.
