Nashville officials have identified a 67-year-old man who was killed in a crash on Woodmont Boulevard.

The wreck happened around 10 a.m. Saturday at the intersection with Granny White Pike.

Authorities said the victim who was killed, identified as Paul Lindquist, of Lebanon, was headed east on Woodmont Boulevard when he came up on traffic stopped at a red light.

Police said Lindquist hit the back of a car, causing it to hit a third vehicle in front of it, which caused the third vehicle to hit a fourth vehicle.

Lindquist’s vehicle reportedly continued around the others and into the intersection where he hit a utility pole.

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died. Authorities said it was unclear if Lindquist suffered a medical issue just before the crash.

No other injuries were reported.
