Police have released the identities of four people who were killed in a head-on crash on Ashland City Road in Clarksville.
The road was shut down for hours Wednesday as emergency crews and investigators responded. Ashland City Road was closed from the Cumberland Drive intersection to Edmondson Ferry Road just after 4 p.m.
According to officials with the Clarksville Police Department, a vehicle hit another head-on causing it to collide with a third vehicle.
The at-fault driver that hit the second vehicle head-on was killed, as well as the driver and two passengers from that second vehicle.
The driver of the third vehicle refused medical treatment.
Three people in an SUV were identified as 31-year-old Devin Fillingham, of Clarksville; 52-year-old Teresa King, of Pleasant View; and 22-year-old Sean Settle, of Erin.
Police said the driver of a pickup truck, identified as 58-year-old Kristopher McCauley, of Clarksville, was also killed.
Investigators said the driver of the first vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, which may have been a factor in the crash.
The road reopened around 8:40 p.m. The investigation continues.
